
ABOUT MARLEY
Born in 2011, Marley Jae Taylor is a dedicated student, multi-talented artist, musician, and athlete based in Texas, USA. As the child of a contemporary artist, Marley was immersed in the art world from a young age, often surrounded by vibrant abstract and portrait paintings at her father’s exhibitions.
This rich environment has inspired Marley to explore her voice through music composition, poetry, visual art, and filmmaking. Her work is characterized by bright, joyful colors and themes inspired by her love of life and nature, aiming to uplift and inspire others.
Beyond her academic and artistic pursuits, Marley is a competitive swimmer and a dedicated Shaolin kung fu martial artist, demonstrating a strong work ethic, discipline, and perseverance. She approaches challenges with curiosity and determination, always striving to grow in every area of her life. Marley is a thoughtful and engaged community member, combining her love for learning, creativity, and collaboration to build meaningful connections. Her unique blend of talents and passion for exploration makes her a vibrant and inspiring young individual, ready to thrive in an environment that values growth, connection, and purpose.

Education:
Marley attends SORA Academy, an online private college-preparatory school. At SORA, she engages in a six-week project-based curriculum, synthesizing what she’s learned into final projects that reflect her academic growth and creativity.
Community Service:
Marley is a dedicated community member who actively gives back in multiple ways. Marley volunteers with The Birthday Party Project, a nonprofit organization that brings joy to children in homeless shelters by hosting special birthday celebrations. She also serves as a Sijay at her Shaolin kung fu school, mentoring lower-belt students in forms, techniques, and the core values of discipline, respect, and perseverance.
In addition, as a current patient at Scottish Rite, she often speaks with new pediatric scoliosis patients and their families, sharing her journey with scoliosis and the progress she has made through consistent brace wear since age seven. Her story provides comfort and optimism, encouraging both children and parents to approach treatment with commitment and discipline.
Athletics:
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Marley is a competitive swimmer with the Dallas Mustangs Swim Club and a dedicated Shaolin kung fu martial artist, currently holding a brown belt. These disciplines reflect her commitment to hard work, perseverance, and self-discipline.​
